PartnerAdvantage Technology Partners
CommVault maintains relationships with major technology leaders to provide our clients with integrated solutions that have been tested and qualified by each vendor. Technology Partners include systems vendors, tape, disk and optical vendors, application developers and storage area networking specialists. CommVault and our partners provide technology solutions that enable customers to improve data protection and data lifecycle management efficiency.
PartnerAdvantage Technology Levels
(determined by the level of integration with CommVault products):
CommVault Qualified
Partners that have completed the required test cases and test plans to demonstrate complete compatibility between their solution and CommVault's products.
CommVault Developer
Partners who develop specific solutions that interface directly with CommVault APIs, Command Line interfaces or other methods of integration with CommVault software. This level of partnership typically requires development work from the partner and CommVault, a Statement of Work and go to market plans regarding sales, support and service of joint solutions.

PartnerAdvantage Technology Partners - Technology Partner Guidelines
The CommVault PartnerAdvantage Technology Partners program is offered to hardware and software partners interested in qualifying their products with CommVault Simpana® software. The list below describes the sequence of events to become a member of the PartnerAdvantage Technology Partners program and receive the CommVault Qualified logo.
- Apply to join the program online
- Once CommVault receives the application, a call or e-mail dialog between the companies is arranged to verify the strategic fit between the company's products
- An application packet is e-mailed. This packet contains:
- A welcome letter
- The CommVault PartnerAdvantageTechnology contract
- The partner reviews and signs the contract. Key items for consideration when joining include:
- There is an annual program fee of $5000. This fee is waived for the first year.
- Included in the contract is a mutual Non- disclosure agreement
- The partner receives a Not For Resale (NFR) copy of the software for permanent installation in their testing facility.
- Partners agree to test using (at a minimum) the CommVault provided test plans and to report the results of these tests for review.
- Upon CommVault approval of the test results, the partner is awarded the CommVault Qualified Logo for use on their website and product marketing literature. CommVault will add the partner's logo and company description to our partner list on the website.
- CommVault and the partner will update their certification matrices, where appropriate, to show both products as tested and compatible.
- The partner agrees to maintain an up to date copy of the CommVault software and to actively test this software against their products as CommVault and the partner release new product revisions. The standard test plans and reporting mechanisms are used by the partner at these new product releases to maintain CommVault Qualified status.
